Flower Power - My Time to Craft Challenge

My first challenge card with My Time to Craft Challenge Blog, I started the card last night but it turned into a real pig's ear so started from scratch this morning and am much happier with the results.

I have resisted the temptation to use a Sugar Nellie stamp, not that I'm obsessed with them !!!!

The papers are all from DCWV The Old World Stack and the main image is a stamp from The English Stamp Company, a Redoute Photoreal stamp. I really like the Photoreal stamps but I don't use them very often because you do need apply a lot of pressure in order to get a good image - this could just be me of course being a weakling. I always use Versafine when using the Photoreal (unless stamping onto acetate or shrink plastic then I use Stazon) - nothing else I have found gives a good impression with the stamps. I edged the panels with a little chalk ink and embellished with eyelets, brads, ribbon and paper flowers. There is also a little Pee Wee glitter strip in the background too.

This is my card for the challenge on Papertake Weekly.

What a surprise I have used a Sugar Nellie, from the Friends #1 kit. The background papers are from a Pink Petticoat CD. Nellie has been coloured with watercolour crayons. The "Hello" is from a Hampton Studio G stamp set and was embossed with Moonglow embossing powders. The paisley embellishments are made from a Cuttlebug die set and the paper flowers are from Prima.

I made this card for the Scrummy Stash Cafe challenge - Buttons.

The background paper is made from Moonglow Starburst Stains, the paisley layer was made from DCWV card stock and embossed with Cuttlebug embossing folder and lightly sanded. The paisley die cuts are from a Cuttlebug die. The main image is, of course - can you tell I'm addicted to them, a Sugar Nellie rubber stamp coloured with watercolour crayons. I don't have a lot of buttons so I used a Sizzix/Ellison die for the little buttons and embellished with a little ribbon.

Stars - Wednesday Stamper

I purchased a Bind-It-All, at the beginning of the year but, for the last few weeks it has been sat gathering dust. I promised my youngest daughter that I would make her a notebook weeks ago so I thought I better get my finger out and keep my promise.

The main problem was she is a tomboy so I didn't have much in the craft stash that was would be suitable for her. Having purchased the Sugar Nellie Friends Kit #1 last week I had just the stamp for her, the boy rocker is just up her street !!!!

The background papers are from a Pink Petticoat CD, I used a little chalk ink on the edges of the papers and added a few star eyelets. The Sugar Nellie was coloured with watercolour crayons and a clear Sakura glaze pen.

Off now to bind it, the pages will be decorated with stars in the corners. Should be already for her in the morning !!!!!

This is my card for The UK Stampers Sugar Nellie Challenge #5.

I have used a Sugar Nellie stamp, obviously - it is one from the Friends #1 kit, the background paper is from a Pink Petticoat CD. Then I added a silk flower and some paper flowers, embellished further with a brad and some Pearly Stuff.

The scan isn't great so need to try and get a better image, I must master the digital camera !!!!!!! but would rather craft than figure the camera settings to be perfectly honest.

Am totally addicted to the Sugar Nellie range of rubber stamps and found a new challenge blog - UK Stampers Cyber Blog

The card was made using the gorgeous "Lola with Flowers" rubber stamp, coloured with watercolour pencils. The background papers are from a Pink Petticoat CD, Essential Collection, edged with a little chalk ink. Then added a couple of paper flowers, eyelet, brads and Dymo embossing label.

As usual, I have left making my Mother's Day cards to the last minute. Yesterday, I promised myself that I couldn't do any challenges until my Mother's Day cards were finished.

Cards now completed so decided that I would look at the challenges and get started on them. Checked the Arty Girlz challenge and discovered the card I made for my Mum fitted the bill.

The card is made from backing papers is from the Fantasy Floral CD, by Artylicious, the flowers were cut from the papers too. The panels are glitter card and the "Mum" is cut from DCWV card stock. Highlighted the backing papers and flowers with a Sakura clear stardust pen and added a little glitter in places.

Fingers crossed Mum likes it !!!

This is my card for the Papertake Weekly Challenge - Blue & Green

I used my new stamps from Sugar Nellie (only arrived this morning), " Maggie in Heart Jumper" & "Hamish in Woolly Jumper". Yes I have developed a case of Nellieitious, they are adorable stamps and must have more of them.

The background papers, border strip and frame are all from Chris Warner's Crafting Classics Pastel CD. Maggie and Hamish were coloured with watercolour pencils, I added a few paper flowers with brads and a Dymo embossed label to embellish the card.

The scan hasn't really done the colours justice, will try and get a piccie and upload later.

Now I must stop playing on the internet and sit down and make Mother's Day cards or I'm going to be in serious trouble LOL

Rainbow Acetate

This is for Rainbow Lady's first challenge "Acetate", it was Rainbow Lady (along with some other wonderful Bloggers) that inspired me to join the challenges and create my own blog

This made using a backing paper from the Scrapbook Factory Deluxe package, software that I had for a while but never really used so must sit down and really play around with it a little more. The main image is "Maggie With Flowers", from the Sugar Nellie rubber stamp range, she has been coloured with watercolour pencils. The background also has an acetate overlay which was stamped with Brilliance inkpads, with stamps from The Stamp Man Kaye Caryle range. The acetate was attached with a eyelets and the chipboard embellishment is from Dovecraft.

I love the Sugar Nellie stamps, must have more !!!!!!!!

My card for the Tanda Stamps blog challenge "Toybox Treasures"

I have used one of Joanna Sheen's rubber stamps (from Bear Family JS242 - check out Joanna's website with the link on the right), the bear was created using Fantasy Fibers and the balloon was embellished with green glitter. The background papers are from the Scrapbook Factory Deluxe package, edged with Versamagic chalk inks. The paper ribbon was embellished with small teddies (small paper punch) and a few flat back gems.

This is the bookmark I made for the Wednesday Stamper challenge.

I started the bookmark with the intentions of adding ribbons and stringed beads but in the end I decided the stamped image was enough.

I used a stamp from The English Stamp Company, Redoute Photoreal range. The flowers were stamped with a Versafine sepia ink pad onto cream card and coloured with chalks, then mounted onto gold card.

This is my card for this weeks Theme Thursday challenge.

The background papers are from a DCWV paper stack. The small panels have been rubber stamped with some Woodware clear stamps, using a Versamark ink pad for a watermark effect and also clear embossing powder. The main image is "Dress Up Maggie" from the Sugar Nellie range of rubber stamps, she was coloured with watercolour pencils. The text was made using a Dymo embossing label maker.

The card is made with a beautiful rubber stamp from the Sugar Nellie range (Maggie with Flowers), I only have two at the moment but I can see my Sugar Nellie's stamp collection growing very quickly. Maggie was coloured with watercolour pencils and the backing papers came from a Pink Petticoat CD (Essentials Collection) and embellished with a few paper flowers, gems and Pearly Stuff

Here's my creation for this weeks challenge from Wednesday Stamper.

The card is made using some paper from DCWV, a strip of vellum stamped with hearts and "love" rubber stamps, together with some textured cardstock and a few brads and flat back gems.

Had to have a good rummage in the craft stash for this card because I don't make Valentine cards, found some items that I had totally forgotten so the rummage has paid off.

Tanda Teaser Challenge

This is my card for the new challenge site from Tanda Stamps. The challenge for this week was "A Shining Example"

Had a hard time trying to get a decent piccie for the blog. I only found the challenge site yesterday and as the launch for the weekly challenge starts this Wednesday didn't have too much time to get the photography right. Will be more organised for the next challenge.

The card was made using a new addition to my craft stash Liquid Lustre from Sticky Fingers. The background was made using the Liquid Lustre's, which are a pearly ink, sprayed directly onto the paper and then scrunched the paper. The inks have a love sparkly sheen unfortunately the photo doesn't do the product justice. I then added an acetate overlay which was stamped with a leafy spray, a rubber stamp from The Stamp Man, using Brilliance Ink pads and attached with bradlets. The dragonfly, a rubber stamp also from The Stamp Man, onto Liquid Lustre paper and then a little glitter added to the wing detail. The flower was made using ready made paper flowers and a punch.

Wednesday Stamper Challenge - Asia

The challenge on the Wednesday Stamper this week is Asia.

I am a big fan of Oriental but decided to do something different for this challenge. I used, a stamp that I have had for a while but not used a great deal, Judikins Travels In India cube.

I decided to make an ATC but got a little carried away and made three in the end. Used a green pearlescent card, together with some lovely hand-made papers to create the base of the ATC's. The main images are from the Travels In India rubber stamp, stamped onto a brayed background.
